Stay Connected, Stay Safe with Be-Maps App

Be-Maps provides secure remote monitoring designed with privacy and transparency in mind. The feature lets you monitor your place using trusted devices while ensuring that monitoring is only possible with the phone user's knowledge and consent.
Be-Maps supports two types of remote monitoring:
•  Motion Detection
•  Remote Monitoring Requests from Allowed Devices
All monitoring data is shared only with your Allowed Devices, and remote monitoring requests are accepted only from those same trusted devices.

Monitoring Features at a Glance

Motion Detection

Be-Maps uses your phone or tablet camera to detect movement. Every two seconds, the app checks for changes in the camera image and can automatically trigger one or more actions when motion is detected.

This feature is intended for indoor monitoring, including:
•  Home or apartment security
•  Hotel room monitoring while you are away or sleeping
•  Garage monitoring
•  Office or storage room monitoring
•  Monitoring a corridor or entrance

When motion is detected, you can choose any combination of these actions:
•  Play an audible alert on the monitored device.
•  Save a photo and a 30-second video of the event on the monitored device.
•  Send an alert to selected devices in your Be-Maps Group together with the event photo and video.
These alerts can help you or trusted family members quickly become aware of unexpected activity.

Remote Monitoring

The Monitoring screen allows trusted devices to remotely request photos, audio recordings, or video recordings when permitted by the monitored device.
Remote monitoring is available only after explicit configuration by the user of the monitored device.
To ensure transparency and prevent misuse, remote monitoring is available only when all required privacy conditions are met. Most importantly, the monitored device must remain on the dedicated Monitoring screen with the display left on, making it clear to anyone using the device that remote monitoring is enabled.

Privacy and Transparency

Be-Maps is designed so that the remote monitoring cannot be enabled without owner of the device knowing.
To use Remote Monitoring, the monitored device must have all of the following:
•  Privacy Status disabled (as shown in the app).
•  Data Sharing Level set to Monitoring.
•  Allowed Devices configured.
•  Remote Monitoring enabled.
•  The Be-Maps Monitoring screen kept open, with the display left on.
Only devices that have been added to Allowed Devices can request monitoring data or receive motion detection alerts.

How Remote Monitoring Can Help

Remote Monitoring may be useful in situations such as:
•  Monitoring your home while you are away.
•  Checking your hotel room after housekeeping or maintenance visits.
•  Monitoring your garage, workshop, office, or storage room.
•  Receiving instant alerts when unexpected movement occurs.
•  Recording photos and videos automatically after motion detection.
•  Allowing trusted family members or friends in your Be-Maps Group to receive alerts and assist when necessary.
•  Helping discourage an intruder by playing an audible alert on the monitored device.
Because monitoring is limited to trusted devices and requires visible activation on the monitored device, Be-Maps combines remote monitoring capabilities with strong privacy and transparency safeguards.
